The American Audio Sense 215 is the ideal speaker for situations that require a lot of sound, such as in clubs, at mobile DJ shows and of course for parties. The Sense 215 is loaded with two 15-inch woofers, which are filled in by a powerful 1-inch compression driver with a 1.75-inch voice coil. Thanks to the woofers, this speaker delivers a mighty punch, which is only heightened when you pair it with a Sense 18S subwoofer. This is truly an ideal system for mobile shows and fixed installations.

Components of the Sense 215 speaker

The Sense 215 is ripe with drivers and components. Let us begin with the most hearty of them all: the compression driver. The 1-inch compression driver featured in the Sense 215 has a 1.75-inch voice coil and is mounted in a 75 x 50-degree horn to provide perfect sound dispersion. The fact that it can hold its own alongside the two 15-inch woofers is a testament to its strength! The woofers, since we mentioned them, both have aluminium baskets and sizeable voice coils. You'll appreciate real power when you experience the 800 W of continuous power and the 1,600W program of the Sense 215. Suffice it to say, we recommend you have a substantial amplifier to get the most our of your Sense 215. Moreover, its frequency range reaches 45 Hz (at -10 dB), so it can still provide plenty of bass without a subwoofer.

Design and finish

The Sense 215 features a rugged housing that's neatly finished with professional splatter paint. The robust grille on the front keeps the components optimally protected, whether you're using the speaker in a fixed or mobile installation. You'll also find two comfortable integrated handles that allow the speaker to be transported and placed with ease. M10 mounting points have been added to all of the corners as well, so you can fly the speaker should you so choose. Finally, the horn can also be rotated 90 degrees should the standard dispersion be inadequate for your performance space.
