Ibanez' Soundgear (aka SR) series basses have been extremely popular for years because they have an ergonomic shape that makes them easy to play, they're versatile and they sound great too. The SRH505-DEF is a semi-acoustic 5-string bass guitar that Ibanez also refers to as the Aerium. It has a mahogany body, a spruce top, a 5-piece jatoba/bubinga neck and a rosewood fretboard for a warm, full sound with sparkle and plenty of definition.
SRH505-DEF: the power of piezo
This model has a beautiful Dragon Eye Burst Flat finish and unlike most electric bass guitars this model doesn't have a traditional pickup. Instead it has an AeroSilk piezo pickup system integrated into the bridge that's responsible for delivering the full sound to your amplifier. If you're looking for a 5-string semi-acoustic bass guitar that's not like most others out there, Ibanez's SRH505-DEF deserves serious consideration.
