Fender American Standard Precision Bass V 3 colores sunburst RW
General
Some years ago, Fender introduced a five-string P-Bass. This was, however, an American Deluxe model with active electronics and a bridge-position humbucker. The American Standard Precision Bass V is the very first P-bass to feature five strings and traditional passive electronics. This version features a rosewood fretboard and a vintage-style 3-tone Sunburst finish. It provides modern bass players, in demand for a five-string's wide tonal range, with an indestructible workhorse. Made in the U.S. of A it comes with included luxury SKB case with TSA latches, guitar strap, instrument cable and a polishing cloth.
Modern features of the Am. Std. Precision Bass V
It has been more than 60 years since the first P-Bass was introduced, and much has changed since then. Of course, the American Standard Precision Bass V couldn't be left lingering in the past. Its neck has been fitted with two internal graphite Posiflex support rods for added strength and stability. Additionally, Fender's High Mass Vintage bridge has the same classic looks as before but has gained considerable weight to provide more tone and longer sustain. The five Hipshot tuners are, however, 30% lighter providing a more balanced instrument. Thanks to the medium jumbo frets and 9.5-inch fretboard radius, this five-string Precision Bass has better playability than ever before.
Alnico V split single-coil: authentic P-Bass sound
Fender's P-Bass is a favourite of bass players in many music genres because of its powerful, protrusive sound. From Motown to reggae and from blues to hard rock, its clear, driving sound has become virtually indispensable in modern music. This legendary sound is produced by a just a single pickup. The split single-coil consists of two separate single-coil pickups that, together, function as a single humbucker, producing a proper punch and powerful basses without the typical 50Hz hum of a single-coil pickup. The passive electronics consist of a volume control and a tone control to filter out high frequencies.
