The Starfire range by Guild gained quite a following back in the sixties. You can still find fans today who have the pleasure of owning an old Starfire III, IV or Bass. Guild is bringing the series back to life with their Newark St. Collection, modernising popular vintage models. The Starfire Bass is a re-issue of the original model, and features a warm Cherry Red finish that matches beautifully with the hollow-body shape of this bass.

Guild Starfire Bass Cherry Red: Bi-Sonic

In both sound and looks, the Starfire Bass brings back those feelings of yesteryear. The body is made of laminated mahogany, and the neck is made of three parts maple and mahogany. 21 small, high type 6105 frets grace the rosewood fretboard. Guild chose their Bi-Sonic Bass humbucker for the excellent bass sound of this guitar, and it features its own volume and tone control for making further adjustments to the sound. Finally, the bridge / tailpiece combination gives the whole instrument a classy vibe, and anchors the four strings optimally in the body. This Starfire is a real blast from the past!
