The Panther 5 is a 5-string masterpiece by German manufacturer Sandberg. Their quality guitars and basses are hand-made, immaculately finished and known for their innovative characteristics and excellent value for money. This Panther 5 electric bass guitar sports a modern look and can be recognised by its elegant, sleek curves and punchy sound. The impressive sunburst finish adds a nice touch of warmth.
The stable Panther 5
The Panther 5's base sound can be ascribed to its ash body. This type of wood is generally used for its clear sound. The neck is held in place with five bolts and is made from Canadian Hardrock Maple, a particularly tough kind of maple rendering the neck virtually immovable for an ultra stable tone, making this bass guitar resilient to fluctuations in humidity and temperature. The bridge saddle on this Sandberg bass guitar can be elaborately adjusted for super accurate intonation and precise string height.
A humbucker and split single-coil
The Panther 5's sound is tight and balanced from the bottom B-string up to the high G. It's equipped with two pick-ups, which, in turn, have been outfitted with modern and stylish little covers. The balance and bass/treble controls allow you to pull a smorgasbord of different sounds from the humbucker and split coil, but if you prefer a more traditional sound, simply turn off the active circuit using the push-pull volume knob. This way, you won't be needing any batteries for power.
