This four-piece Ludwig shell set is a great kit for beginners and more advanced drummers alike! Ludwig's Element Birch Icon drum kit has seen some serious improvements compared to earlier models from the Element series. For instance, the shells are made entirely of birch, and they're available in several gorgeous glossy finishes. This particular kit in Rooftop Natural consists of a 22" bass drum, a 14 x 6.5" snare drum, a 12" tom and a 16" floor tom.

To improve shell resonance, this rock/fusion kit has 7-ply birch shells that have a 45-degree bearing edge. This gives this the Element Icon even more bite and volume! Furthermore, all shells feature Keystone lugs and chrome hardware. The tom is equipped with a Vibra-Band tom mount, which makes minimal contact with the shell, further improving the kit's resonance and sound.
