With the MB400WN set of walnut bongo's, Meinl once again shows it's not afraid to innovate. They are manufactured according to Meinl's RAPC production technology. This Radial Ply Construction process presses together five layers of wood to form a single, highly durable and lightweight shell with enhanced resonance. Furthermore, the walnut finish gives them a gorgeous look. The set consists of a 6.75-inch macho and an 8-inch hembra - the macho being the smaller 'male' drum, and the hembra being the larger 'female' drum.
Meinl MB400WN RAPC Bongo Walnut: suspension system
Thanks to Meinl's Free Ride Suspension System, drilling holes in the shell to mount the hardware is a thing of the past. This suspension system keeps the shells intact, allowing them to retain their full resonance and tone. With their 8mm-thick lugs and 3mm-thick rounded SSR rims, these bongo's are highly durable, and they feature cowskin drumheads. All in all, this is a set of sturdy bongo's with a unique suspension system. They even come with a tuning key.
