2023 marks the year in which Zildjian gets to blow out no less than 400 birthday candles and, to celebrate their anniversary, the legendary brand serves up the 400th Limited Edition Alloy Snare Drum. Made from Zildjian's self-developed bronze alloy and polished off with specially-made, stainless steel hardware, this inspiring drum represents four centuries of dedication, passion and craftsmanship.

Ready to serve any and all drummers, this one-off snare feels at home in orchestras, in front of a stack of amps, as part of a jazz quartet, and in modern recording studios. Both the bronze shell and the hardware have been designed with the help of Aaron Latos from Latos Drums and combine to shape masses of volume, forceful projection and impacting sound.

Certificate of Authenticity

The shell is 5mm thick in total and comes with a bearing edge that's specifically shaped to enhance the sonic sharpness and sensitivity. Add the patented Latos Drums throw-off and butt plate, the special Z-engraved Latos drum key, and the Vic Firth Canopus 26-strand snare wires made from Japanese steel, and you get more tone, less buzz, and a bigger dynamic range. To top it off, the Zildjian 400th Limited Edition Alloy Snare comes complete with a custom case, a pair of inspection gloves, and a certificate of authenticity.
