Pearl introduces the brand new Hybrid Exotic series of snare drums. This series has three different shell compositions. This 14 x 5-inch Vector Cast snare drum has an extra thin shell. It sounds quite dense and full, the shell has an attractive matte black finish and the hardware has been chrome plated. It is also fitted with a Remo Coated Ambassador drumhead. The shell has been made of a synthetic material that is also used in the aircraft industry. This remarkable material makes the drum surprisingly lightweight.

Hybrid Exotic: special tension rods

The HEP1450 has special tension rods. An all-new innovation by Pearl that allows you to adjust the tension on the drumhead. With these Spin-Tight tension rods you can tune the head with a special drum key. Inside the tension rod there is a second tension rod, which will help retain the optimal tension. This way, the tension will remain equal throughout the head, which adds to the sound of the drum. A distinctive snare with a fat sound.
