The Mesa Boogie Express 5:25 Plus is an extremely versatile, solid and organic-sounding tube guitar amp combo. The highly renowned Mesa Boogie has fitted this no-nonsense 25-watt amp with a 12-inch Celestion Vintage 30 speaker. Of particular note, on this latest Express version, are two fully independent channels with adjustable output per channel, extensive equaliser options and an included 4-button foot switch. With the foot switch you can control EQ, channel settings, reverb and solo boost quickly and easily.

The adjustable power of the 5:25 Express 5:25 Plus

The howling 5:25 is the 25-watt model from the Express combo series that, in terms of functionality and sound quality, is virtually identical to its big brother the 5:50. Everything, including the delicious reverb, is driven by two EL-84 tubes supported by five 12AX7-type preamp tubes. Switching a channel to 25 watts generates a hefty punch with a lot of presence and impressive headroom. When set to 15 watts, the amp generates a more velvety, vintage sound, while at 5 watts the sound has a warm bass and with mild, rich trebles.

Every style with one guitar amplifier

The Mesa Boogie Express Plus is an incredibly versatile tube amplifier. Channel 1 offers both a sweet, low-gain Clean setting, as well as a growling mid-tone producing Crunch. Channel 2, on the other hand offers the guitarist a gorgeous, pure Blues sound and heavily distorted highs in Burn mode. Whatever style you play, therefore, whether its R&B, rock, metal or punk, you will always find the sound you're looking for with the Express Plus. A 5-band equaliser even allows you to fine-tune your sound further so that you can get it exactly how you want it. You can also choose a preset for this.
