General

The Lone Star is a tube amp combo, with (according to Mesa Boogie) a sound as large as Texas and as wide as the Rio Grande. Poetic wording for the fantastic sound of this tube combo. Built by hand in Petaluma, California and designed for straight-up joy via a top-class tubular construction dressed in vintage clothes. The control panel is considerately arranged on the top of this tube combo which also features a footswitch port, effects loop, speaker outputs, slave-out and switchable fan.

Mesa Boogie Lone Star 1x12: Multi-Watt & Duo-Class

The Lone Star is also fitted with a Multi-Watt power amplifier with Duo-Class technology. As a result, you get a choice of three power levels, so you can take advantage of the full dynamic tube spectrum. The Lone Star pushes 100 Watts when the four 6L6 tubes are Class A / B switched. The attenuation can be switched between 50 (two 6L6 Class A / B) and 10 Watt (two 6L6 Class A) - perfect for the home or in the studio: the beloved tube compression, not the scorching volume.

Channels and Controls

Two channels provide two sound characters. Channel 1 sounds punchy and 'twangy' and has a vintage-oriented gain structure, giving your lead part shape and colour. Channel 2 can sound both clean and high-gain, with the structure based on the Mark I. In addition, there are three voicings on this channel: Normal, Thick and Thicker. Each Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence and Master control pot is duplicated per channel and the power circuit is also adjustable per channel.
