General

The Focusrite RedNet D64R turns the Dante signal of your RedNet network into an optical MADI signal so you can process your audio in professional post productions, broadcasts, live sound or studio recordings. To do so, simply connect the MADI I/O on the back of the converter via BNC connectors or an SC-Duplex plug. You'll also find two power connectors and two RJ45 EtherCON ports here. Should one power or data source happen to fail, the second connection takes over seamlessly and, with the added benefit of Word Clock functionality, you'll never run out of options to synchronise your gear with your network.

RedNet: Powered by Dante

Based on the Dante audio-over-IP protocol, Focusrite's own RedNet delivers crystal-clear audio with barely any latency and has the level of scalability and versatility needed to operate in large studios, massive concert halls, and even gargantuan arenas. In addition, the use of the Dante protocol removes the fuss of a whole bunch of cables, since all the data can be transferred using a single CAT 5e/6 cable.
