A lavalier microphone is an excellent tool for public speakers. With a transmitter, they have the ability to walk around, and even to go into the audience. It's for this reason that Behringer added this combination to their assortment. The lavalier microphone is easy to clip onto the speaker's clothes and to connect to the transmitter, which sends the signal out, leaving the speaker free of a wire tether.

The ULM200 bridges the distance

The transmitter actually operates on the 2.4 GHz band, which is the bandwidth that Bluetooth also uses. This band is available in just about any country, so you can use the transmitter anywhere without problems. In contrast with a lot of other transmitters in its class, this transmitter is digital, for noiseless transmission. Plus, with a digital signal you won't get interference from other transmitters or magnetic fields. The only thing you have to do is synchronise the system (the transmitter and receiver), and you're ready to go on your wireless way!
