Fender American Special series bass guitars were especially designed to provide you with the quality of a genuine American Fender, at a more affordable price. This Jazz Bass, in a fabulous Olympic White finish, offers you the looks and sound of the classic J-bass. However, it features some modern improvements like a slender-profile Fast-Action neck with graphite support rods and also the Fender Greasebucket tone circuit that allows you to filter the trebles without compromising the low-end definition. The American Special Jazz Bass is delivered with a Fender deluxe gig bag so that you can easily and safely transport your precious instrument and its accessories.

American Special Jazz Bass: cut from the right stuff

According to tradition, Fender use alder to make the body of this J-Bass. This type of wood is comfortably light of weight and provides a balanced tone with excellent resonating properties. The distinctive 38mm narrow maple neck has a scale length of 34 inches and a rosewood fretboard with 20 medium jumbo frets. Also, the neck contains Fender's Posiflex graphite support rods that provide the neck with extra stability and prevent warping caused by changes in moisture and temperature levels.

Two J-Bass pickups with Greasebucket Tone circuit

Unlike a Precision Bass, the Jazz Bass is equipped with two pickups that allow you to create a wider range of bass sounds. The bridge pickup has a clear sound, while the neck pickup sounds a lot warmer. These two vintage-style alnico single-coil pickups produce the famous J-Bass sound of the '60s and '70s.
