Mystic Aztec Gold is a great colour for this Limited Edition Fender American Standard Stratocaster. Since its introduction, the Stratocaster has been just as sought after as the Aztecs' El Dorado. In addition to being a great looker, this eye catcher is also a real player. Fender's American Standard series combines all that's good from the past with modern modifications. This limited edition was made to commemorate the Stratocaster's 60th anniversary. You should get your hands on this Aztec Gold before someone else does.

Fat '50s

The sound of this American Standard Strat is marvellously fat and vintage thanks to its three Custom Shop Fat '50s single coil pickups that produce a higher output than classic alnico 5 single coils, with slightly more bass and a milder mid range. The reverse-wound middle pickup makes that this guitar is hum free in the pickup switch's mid positions. The result is a guitar that sounds amazing and that combines the classic single-coil sparkle with extra bass and more power.

Modern modifications

Several components of this guitar underwent modern modifications. Modern features include the 22 medium jumbo frets, the two-way truss rod and the comfortable 9.5-inch neck. The vintage-style tremolo bridge has also been dramatically improved with a two-point mounting for better tuning and renewed friction-free bridge saddles and a solid steel tremolo block for more tone and sustain. All of its features combined make the American Standard Stratocaster the ultimate Strat for many.
