Fender American Standard Stratocaster Ocean Blue Metallic MN
General
The Ocean Blue Metallic (maple fretboard) Fender American Standard Stratocaster is a genuine American Strat. Those who know a thing or two about Fender immediately understand that this assures them of excellent quality. What's more, you can depend on the things that make the Stratocaster.. the Stratocaster. And more! On the one hand, there's the familiar elegant body of highly resonant alder, the classic tremolo bridge and the distinctive sound of its three single-coil pickups. On the other, there are a number of attractive improvements like a Micro-Tilt adjustment and staggered machine heads. This MN version has a maple fretboard, which produces a sound that's a little clearer than that of an RW version. This guitar comes with a guitar case, an instrument cable, a guitar strap and a polishing cloth.
American Standard Strat OBM MN: modern comfort
Three marvellous Custom Shop Fat '50s single-coil pickups take responsibility for the unadulterated, twangy and full Strat sounds of the American Standard Strat OBM MN. Also, these alnico V pickups sound more powerful in the low frequencies and milder in the mid-tones than the 'average' Stratocaster single-coils. As the middle pickup is reverse-wound, the mid-positions of the pickup switch (2 and 4) are free of hum. A notable feature is the No Load tone control, turn the tone control all the way up to 10 and the potentiometer takes itself out of the circuit, resulting in a purer sound. In order to be able to accurately adjust this guitar, it is - among other things - equipped with a Micro-Tilt system to adjust the angle of the neck. The staggered tuners guarantee less friction and more tuning stability.
Guitars and bass guitars from the American Standard series
The professional American Standard series comprises the most recent US-built versions of Fender's four most famous guitars: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. They all feature a quality ash or alder body, an average-gauge C-profile maple neck and a relatively flat maple or rosewood fretboard, as well as a reliable, sustain-enhancing bridge and (often) Custom Shop pickups for the classic Fender sound.
