The Jazz Bass has a rich history and a loyal following so it was only natural that Fender issued the American Vintage series. Several bass guitars from various past years are accurately reproduced using modern components and techniques, but preserving the original soul and sound. This Olympic White American Vintage '64 Jazz Bass was modelled after the 1964 Jazz Bass.

This guitar has several highly striking features that include the massive, chrome-plated bridge cover, proudly brandishing a vintage-style Fender F, as well as a hand rest above the middle pickup - both also featured on the '64 model. These covers are also very functional as certain playing techniques, like slapping for instance, can be pretty tasking for your hand and fingers.

Strong base

This American Vintage '64 Jazz Bass is of exceptional Fender quality. When properly looked after, it might very well become a relic in 2064 but for now, we highly advise you just play it. Its C-profile maple neck allows for excellent playability. The rosewood fretboard features Clay Dot position markers, just like in 1964 and its vintage-style frets are relatively low and narrow. The four-layer brown pickguard with its pearloid texture contrasts beautifully with the Olympic White body. The black volume and tone knobs are fitted to a chrome-plated control plate and fully complete the look of this American Vintage model. This bass guitar is old and new combined and brings back the characteristically warm Jazz Bass sound of old.
