Fender Limited Edition American Standard Blackout Stratocaster

Early 2015, Fender issued no fewer than ten American Limited Edition models, of which some were notably different from standard Fender models. In that respect, the Limited Edition Mystic See Through Black is quite conventional. Despite the fact that the only differences between this guitar and the Standard Strat are its finish and fretboard, it is still bound to attract plenty of attention. Its black see-through finish can best be compared to metallic paint on a car Combined with the black pickguard, it makes this Limited Edition Strat look stylish and restrained as well as strikingly different.

Custom Shop Fat ‘50s

Clearly, the American Standard Stratocaster is at the base of this Limited Edition guitar. The American Standard Stratocaster was an instant hit, which isn't at all odd if you consider that the best Fender has to offer is combined with several modern modifications. This Strat also has three Fender Custom Shop Fat '50s pickups that produce a delightfully rich sound with less bass and less intrusive mids than the single-coils from the Stratocaster's early days. Moreover, the ebony fretboard is quite exceptional and combines enhanced playing comfort with extra sustain.

American Standard

The Strat has been virtually unaltered since its introduction in 1954, but Fender has kept it up-to-date. Its ebony fretboard, for instance, has 22 medium jumbo frets while its neck features a dual-action truss rod and a flatter 9.5-inch fretboard radius. The vintage-style tremolo bridge has also been modernised with just two mounting points so that the guitar retains its tuning better. New friction-free steel bridge saddles and a solid steel block add more tone and sustain, and the staggered machine heads allow for optimal pressure on the top saddle without the need for a second string guide, so there is less friction and a more stable tuning.
