We at Bax-shop have gotten hold of this limited edition: the Ibanez AR720FM in Aged Whisky Burst. This electric guitar from the AR series has been modelled after one of Ibanez's first designs and is characterised by an LP-style body with two cutaways. This version is fitted with a beautiful top made of flamed maple and elegant, abalone inlays along the body, neck and headstock. It even includes a case!
Ibanez AR720FM-AWB: construction and hardware
The three-piece maple neck of this classic guitar is set into the body and has a streamlined heel for maximum playing comfort. The fretboard is made of ebony and has block inlays made of pearloid and abalone. The 22 frets have an exquisite finish and the ends are rounded by hand. The AR720FM is also fitted with an Ibanez Gibraltar bridge with a sustain block underneath, plus a Quik Change Classic tailpiece that allows for a quick switching of chords.
Super 80 'Flying Finger' pickups
The AR720-AWB is equipped with Ibanez Super 80 pickups, also known as Flying Finger pickups. Despite their high output, these humbuckers with closed covers sound bright and punchy and above all clean and full. Both humbuckers have their own volume and tone control as well as a tri-sound switch. With this switch you can choose whether you want to use the pickups in a parallel, single coil or humbucker configuration. This gives you a very wide range of different sounds.
