The Ibanez AW370ECE-NT is an electro-acoustic western guitar from the Artwood series. With modern woodwork technology, the guitar builders at Ibanez managed to reproduce the old bracing techniques and they constructed this AW370ECE-NT, a guitar with traditional features, equipped with modern adjustments and functions.
Ibanez Artwood AW370ECE-NT: cedar top
The Ibanez AW370ECE-NT has a top made of solid cedar, a wood type that produces a warm, sultry sound with sweet trebles. The sides and back are made of solid rosewood which is a kind of wood that produces more bass and trebles than the common mahogany and less mids. Rosewood is also quite popular because of its beautiful dark colour with discernible grain. The bridge and fretboard of this electro-acoustic western guitar are also made of rosewood and the neck is made of mahogany. Because the body has a cutaway, reaching the higher notes is easy.
Fishman Sonicore Pickup and Ibanez SST Shape Shifter preamp
The Ibanez AW370ECE-NT is equipped with a Fishman Sonicore pickup and an SST preamplifier, including Shape Shifter that allows you to easily add subtle details to your sound. By means of volume and tone control and a phase reverse (for reducing feedback) you have full control over your own sound. The preamp is also fitted with a built-in tuner. What's so special about the AW370ECE-NT is its balanced XLR output next to the standard jack output. Thanks to this output, you can connect the guitar to a PA setup. The preamp works on an AA battery which can be easily replaced.
