The Jackson SLATTXMG3-7 is a seven-string Soloist model by the popular brand Jackson Guitars. This electric guitar is especially fit for rougher and faster music genres, like metal for instance. It has an extra bass string (B flat) for a deeper, fuller sound and two powerful active EMG pickups which guarantee you a tight sound at a high volume. Its black, arched top, neck-through-body construction and typical Jackson headstock and position markers make this guitar a remarkable instrument to see and to play.
The SLATTXMG3-7: smoothness and sustain
Jackson provided the guitar with a Speed Neck and a fretboard with a compound radius to encourage ultra-fast solo parts. The fretboard has a slightly rounded profile at the nut and gradually flattens toward the heel which allows for comfortably playing chords and smooth solo parts. Of course, the sound was also taken into consideration. Due to the neck-through design (instead of a bolt-on neck), the strings have a longer sustain and you'll get a more direct sound. The firmly attached TonePros String-Thru-Body bridge also greatly contributes to the sound.
