General
The M-Audio MIDISport Hub 2x2 is a combination of a MIDI interface and a USB hub, the ideal solution for producers or musicians who are a port short. The MIDISport combines two incoming and two outgoing MIDI signals via four 5-pin DIN connectors into one sleek, compact interface. Incoming signals go directly to your computer, but in stand-alone mode, they can go via the MIDI out of this interface.
USB 3.0 hub and power supply
The MIDISport Hub 2x2 is also handy if you connect a lot of MIDI devices, because chances are, you also have some audio devices with USB outputs. There are three 3.0 USB ports located on on the rear of this interface which are also suitable for devices that require a powered USB hub. If you use the MIDISport interface for MIDI only, then the USB port on your computer is sufficient. When you want to utilise the USB hub functionality, you'll need to use the included adapter.
