This 8-piece drum set is a limited edition model from Pearl's Vision VBA series. Both the configuration of the kit and the Barbwire finish are unique to this model. The set consists of two bass drums, three toms and two floor toms. Both bass drums have a 22-inch diameter and 18 inches of depth, which results in a deep, rich sound with plenty of volume. The three toms are a great match for the two bass drums when it comes to sound and volume, and thanks to their varied sizes you have a wide range of sounds at your disposal. The smallest tom is 10 x 8 inches in size, and produces a sharp and high, yet warm sound with great volume, while the middle tom is 12 x 9 inches, which is also good for quite a warm sound. The third and final tom is 13 x 10 inches. Besides those, you also have the two floor toms, measuring in at 14 x 14 and 16 x 16 inches, respectively, and a wooden 14 x 5.5-inch snare drum completes this absolute monster of a kit. These parts come together beautifully and have a great balance in timbre and volume. With this drum set, you are sure to stand out!

Pearl Vision VBA Series

The shells of this Vision VBA series drum set are made of birch. Birch gives the shell a nicely balanced and punchy sound. and the depths of this kit's shells are perfectly attuned to that. All shells in Pearl's Vision VBA series are made of six plies of birch, which is carefully picked out and selected according to its thickness and density. Extra attention is paid to the way the plies overlap, as it is vital that all the layers align perfectly. To ensure that the shell is airtight and the resonance is optimal, the plies of wood are glued together using Pearl's Acoustiglue. Eventually, the shells are placed in hot moulds that keep them under high pressure to give them their eventual shape. The result is an expertly finished shell with a fantastic tone and response, and optimal resonance.

Pearl 930 Series Hardware

Pearl supplies this kit complete with pedals and hardware from their 930 series. Two P-930 bass drum pedals, a S-930 snare drum stand, the straight C-930 cymbal stand and the BC-930 boom cymbal stand, in addition to the H-930 hi-hat stand. The toms are suspended using three TH900I Uni-Lock infinitely adjustable tom holders. All in all, this excellent sounding shell set comes with a full set of sturdy, solid hardware. Keeping in mind the price/quality ratio of this set and the fact that this is a limited edition kit in a configuration with enough parts to build you two separate, nearly complete drum sets, we'd advise you not ponder your purchase for too long! Cymbals are not included with this drum set.
