The SuperNATURAL sounds of the LX-15

A real acoustic piano enables you to produce detailed acoustic nuances. Digital pianos, on the other hand, often work in audible steps, preventing you from creating the subtle, expressive sound you had in mind. Roland's SuperNATURAL system has solved that inconvenience and enables you to produce nuanced, stepless changes in timbre and volume. The pianos of the LX-15 series also provide a highly realistic tone decay, exactly modelled after the best acoustic pianos. The Soundboard Behaviour technology accurately simulates the characteristics of string vibrations on the soundboard of a piano.

The six Acoustic Projection speakers

As if that is not enough, Roland have equipped this digital piano with the improved Acoustic Projection system, which is based on the sound system of Roland's V-Piano Grand. The LX-15 is fitted with six speakers, the lower two of which produce the basic piano sound. The two middle speakers enhance the sound and the two upper speakers provide ambience and various types of resonance. Combined, they ensure that the SuperNATURAL sounds are optimally reproduced. The top lid of the LX-15 can be opened for an extra-clear sound, just like that of a genuine acoustic piano.

The keys and the pedal

A good digital piano should not only look and sound like the real deal, but has to offer a realistic feel as well. The LX15 manages that just fine. Thanks to the successful Ivory Feel finish, the PHA III keyboard makes you feel like you are playing the ivory and ebony keys of a real grand piano. The damper pedal adds to this acoustic piano experience: the further you press down on it, the more the resistance increases. Press the pedal only halfway down, and the sound decays in a remarkable way.
