Sennheiser E 905 dynamic instrument microphone
General
There is a special microphone for nearly any instrument. Specific instrument microphones have a slightly different frequency range compared to a universal microphone, so that the reproduction of your instrument will sound just that little bit better. The Sennheiser E 905 proves that you can also do things a little differently, however. This dynamic instrument microphone delivers good results with the recording and amplification of all manner of instruments.
The universal E 905
The wide frequency range of 40 to 18,000 Hz, the high maximum sound pressure and the cardioid pickup pattern, all ensure that the Sennheiser E 905 can be used for a variety of purposes. They give the microphone a full and accurate sound. The design of this microphone also ensures that it can easily be positioned in order to optimally amplify a drum kit.
TEC Award
The advanced technology behind the E 900 Backline series has resulted in Sennheiser being rewarded for their troubles, with the TEC Award for 'Outstanding Technical Achievement' in the category 'Microphone Technology/Sound Reinforcement'. This award was mainly awarded because of the impressive performances that this series yields when recording drums.
