The Tama SL62HZBNS-DMF (Dark Mocha Fade) is a Hyper-Drive drum set from the Superstar series. The Superstars offer the serious amateur drummer a wide range of high-end features for a very reasonable price. For instance, the shells are made from carefully selected birch, which gives them a full, powerful and rich sound. Hyper-Drive is the new, relatively shallow standard depth for toms, providing them with improved attack, and a more punchy sound and quick response.

The freely resonating Superstar Hyper-Drive

The relatively shallow depth of the toms does not only improve their sound, it also allows you to mount them lower than regular toms, giving you more freedom while searching for the optimal position. The unique Star-Cast mounting system and the 'floating' lugs allow the toms to resonate freely. And replacing your drum heads is as easy as ever. One more striking feature for a kit in this price class is the fact that it has die-cast hoops, that give the drums a crystal-clear attack.
