Meinl has been putting all of their passion and dedication into their products for many years now, and this mahogany DJTC1-L djembe is an excellent example of that fact. It was made using only the best materials to appease even the most demanding of customers. The Tongo Carved djembe's drumhead, for instance, is made of carefully hand-selected cow skin. All in all, this djembe is another excellent product by Meinl.

The cowskin drumheads on the mahogany djembe are highly durable and they allow you to produce powerful high-frequency slaps. It is pre-fitted to the djembe with thirty pre-stretched HTP nylon ropes. Furthermore, the rubber bottom of the djembe doesn't just look nice, it also helps protect the instrument from being scratched. Finally, the DJTC1-L was roughly carved out of a solid piece of mahogany, giving it a beautiful, authentic and robust look.
