Charvel thought that one of the world's best guitarists, Guthrie Govan, deserved a proper signature guitar. Together, Charvel and the jazz/rock guitarist developed a top-shelf professional instrument that is made to play and sound excellent in every conceivable way. The result? Two Charvel Guthrie Govan models, of which this is the Flamed Maple version, a guitar with an attractive flamed maple top that combines beautifully with the Flamed Maple neck and fretboard.

The reliable Guthrie Govan Flamed Maple

To ensure that this Guthrie Govan Flame Maple was as reliable as possible, this electric guitar was fitted with a quartersawn neck with graphite support rods, among other things. Additionally, the neck and fretboard underwent a special heat treatment that makes the wood as dry as bone, assuring you of a guitar that won't be impressed by moisture-level or temperature changes. Also, the guitar sounds incredibly balanced along the entire fretboard.

Comfortable playing and versatile pickups

Thanks to its extra large frets - with which the Charvel Guthrie Govan fills no fewer than two octaves - you can bend the strings at your leisure, without having to worry about dragging them along the fretboard. Extra comfortable chord playing is aided by the compound fretboard radius and as Charvel opted for a very low heel, even the highest frets are reached easily. Two specially designed Charvel MFB humbuckers, together with a five-way pickup switch and a genuine Floyd Rose tremolo, allow for a wide range of different sounds.
