The TE-401 Black Satin is equipped with a set of active EMG pickups that are especially engineered for heavy-duty rock and metal. They offer a balanced, transparent sound while the EMG 81 humbucker in the bridge delivers a tighter tone and the EMG 60 adds some warmth.
