The Fender American Custom NOS Stratocaster is a high-grade electric guitar that was made by hand in Fender's Custom Shop. It has a black lacquer finish, a parchment pickguard and a maple neck that give it the sort of iconic look Eric Clapton is a fan of. This American Custom model has a few features that set it apart from other standard Fenders. At 1.6875 inches, the string nut is relatively wide, which gives the strings a little bit more room to vibrate. The machine heads are fitted with mother-of-pearl knobs adding to the instrument's luxurious finish. The neck is also a real eye-catcher thanks to the use of AAA flamed maple. New Old Stock Stratocaster: versatile sound

This Stratocaster's body is made of alder which gives it its well-balanced tone. Strats are well-known for their versatility and this model is no exception with highs and lows that are equally prominent. The instrument is fitted with two hand-wound '69 single-coil pickups in the middle and neck positions with a Texas Special found in the bridge position. The middle pickup is reverse-wound and has reverse polarity to prevent the typical '60s cycle hum that occurs when the pickup switch is in positions 2 and 4. Tuning stability is assured thanks to the two-point synchronised tremolo. Finally, six block saddles provide a smooth and comfortable surface for your right hand.
