Through the years, Fender have kept on developing their guitars, keeping them up to date but removing them ever further from their primordial version. For those who long for the good-old Fender dinosaurs, this Classic Series '50s Strat is a marvellous specimen. This is the lacquer version with a nitrocellulose finish, the same as it had in the good old days. Its Candy Apple Red colour is enhanced beautifully by the gloss lacquer. Other features include the V-profile neck and the maple fretboard, later replaced with a rosewood fretboard.

Vintage charm

Fender really manages to get across that vintage Stratocaster feel to the musician with this instrument. Its alder body, the base for a well-sounding instrument since the Cretaceous period, is combined with a smooth maple neck. The semi-aged knobs and pickup switch tip really contribute to the fifties feel.
