Custom Shop Postermodern NOS Stratocaster: sound

A lightweight ash body gives this Postmodern-series instrument its typical versatile Strat tones. Its thin layer of nitrocellulose lacquer allows the wood to breathe so that the resonance retains its natural character. Three Custom Shop Fat '60s single-coil pickups are extra wound for a bit of additional output. The middle pickup is reverse-wound with reverse polarity. This prevents unwanted hum when the 5-way pickup switch is in position 2 or 4. High frequencies remain intact even at lower volumes thanks to a Tone Saver treble-bleed circuit on the volume potentiometer.

Postmodern NOS series

With the Postmodern Series, the Fender Custom Shop's goal is to produce classic guitar models like the Stratocaster and Telecaster with the latest features. All of the models have a round-laminated fretboard made of maple or rosewood, with a compound radius that goes from 9.5 to 12 inches for optimal playing comfort. The NOS versions have a 'New Old Stock' finish. This means that you get a modern electric guitar with the characteristics of a vintage guitar, without the visual wear and tear of the Relic models. The Postmodern NOS Strat comes with a luxury case, CruzTools Tool kit, certificate of authenticity and other accessories.
