Despite the fact that this Japanese Fender has a body made of ash, its core sound is still very well-balanced. The '66-style Fender offers slightly de-emphasised mids, and, of course, that famous Fender bite - which every maple-fingerboard Tele should have. As far as amplification goes, this guitar offers the best of both the modern and classic worlds. For that vintage, twangy Tele sound, there's a Vintage-Style Single-Coil pickup at the bridge, while the more contemporary rich sound is taken care of by the Fender humbucker at the neck. Moreover, the 3-way pickup switch and tone and volume controls further expand the already wide palette of true Telecaster sounds.
