The extremely limited edition Gretsch G6134TG Paisley Penguin comes decked out in sumptuous style. For a start, the arched maple top of the lightweight chambered mahogany body has been finished with an exclusive Black Paisley paint-job and every bit of hardware has been gold plated - all the way from the Bigsby B3GP vibrato tailpiece to the set of Grover Imperial locking machine heads - which don't just give this guitar a dapper finish, but guarantees uber-stable tuning and intonation. Designed and built with an eye for every detail in Japan, the Gretsch G6134TG Paisley Penguin comes pre-wrapped in a form-fitting Gretsch G6238XL hardshell case.
The G6134TG Paisley Penguin: TV Jones Classic Humbuckers
This near-one-off edition of the Gretsch Penguin comes equipped with a full set of TV Jones Classic humbuckers. Loved by big names like Brian Setzer and John Mayer, this pair of pups are not only popular, but insanely adaptable and somehow manage to capture the vintage-flavoured twang and growl of a set of late fifties Filter’Tron pickups. Balance the output via the master volume pot and a dedicated volume pot per pickup to stunning effect, while comfortable playability is assured by the snug grip of a mahogany neck with a standard-U profile; the light feel of twenty-two medium jumbo frets; and the smooth note navigation afforded by an ebony fretboard.
