General
The Kramer Guitars SM-1 is a can't-go-wrong pick for players who want to wrap their hands around a fast-paced electric guitar that offers the wide-stretched sonic range of an HSS pickup configuration. In addition to a duo of Cool Rail pickups, the mahogany body of the SM-1 comes loaded with a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker and a master volume control equipped with a treble bleed mod to ensure full tonal brightness at lower volume settings. Finishing a thoroughly flexible build, Kramer have even fitted a coil-tap mini-switch for the humbucker at the bridge.
The SM-1: K-Speed Neck for Top-Rate Playing Ease
Thanks to the neck-through-body construction and a flat 14-inch radius, each of the 24 medium jumbo frets on the ebony fretboard is easy to reach. The strings are light enough to bend notes, and the K-Speed SlimTaper C neck carve makes sure that the SM-1 immediately feels snug. Also, so you can sling extra-flamboyant licks, this rock-ready guitar comes decked out with a Floyd Rose 1000 Series double locking tremolo: a floating bridge that can be moved in both directions for wild vibrato-based antics.
