Line 6 JTV-69S OW James Tyler Variax SSS Olympic White
General
Line 6 have expanded their line of Variax guitars with this JTV-69S. The white guitar is virtually identical to the JTV-69 but packs a single-coil pickup at the bridge instead of a humbucker. This is the perfect instrument for guitarists who prefer a classic clear sound. The JTV-69S was designed in collaboration with exclusive guitar maker James Tyler, whose involvement ensures a guitar that looks great, sounds amazing and is fantastic to play. Thanks to Line 6's Variax modelling technology you can apply an amazing collection of no fewer than 28 vintage instruments plus eleven different tunings on this one guitar! The perfect all-in-one instrument for on stage and in the studio.
Properties of the Line 6 JTV-69S James Tyler Variax SSS
Never again will you have to lug about a veritable arsenal of instruments to gigs or recordings. With a single turn of a knob you can browse a selection of legendary electric and acoustic guitar sounds from the fifties to the seventies - subdivided into ten categories with names like T-Model, Spank, Lester, R-billy and Jazzbox, plus Reso for the banjo, sitar and resonators. Additionally, you can select a tuning with the Alt Tuning dial. Go for a standard EADGBE tuning or one of ten alternative tunings such as drop-D, Open A, Blues G, DADGAD and baritone, for instance. Naturally, you can also use the JTV-69S as a conventional electric guitar. It has a genuine alder body with an Olympic White finish, a bolt-on 22-fret neck with a graphite string nut, an SSS pickup configuration and an amazing Tyler tremolo bridge.
Variax Workbench software and VDI
The James Tyler Variax SSS comes with Line 6's Variax Workbench software, your personal, virtual Custom Shop in which to create your dream configuration. The software allows you to combine 28 body types with 17 different pickups and thus you can create your unique sound and tuning. Out phase pickups, reverse or stack them - anything goes! All of your creations can subsequently be assigned to the controls on the guitar. Moreover, the VDI (Variax Digital Interface) allows you to link your guitar to your Line 6 POD HD, POD XT and POD X3 processors and Vetta II guitar amp with just a single cable. When you change a patch on the POD, the guitar automatically tunes to the right sound.
