The Hagstrom Super Viking semi-acoustic has a modern 25.5-inch scale length and a slender, comfortable neck. Its ingenious construction prevents any feedback from disturbing your performance and makes it versatile enough for any genre, from metal to jazz.

Construction

The Super Viking's body is made of flamed, laminated Canadian maple. Hagstrom developed a special Resonator fretboard made of ebonol, which is a high-quality synthetic material that is maintenance-free. In terms of features, it's comparable to ebony, and adds warm overtones to your sound. Both humbuckers have their own tone control and can be split to a single-coil pickup for eleven different tonal combinations!

Hagstrom: a Swedish legend

Hagstrom has been around since 1925. They began manufacturing accordions and other traditional instruments and started producing acoustic steel-string and classical guitars in the 1940s. In 1958, the brand released its first electric guitar. Rather than churn out models similar to what everyone else was making, Hagstrom concentrated on producing their own unique designs and quickly gained fans like Frank Zappa and Elvis Presley, who appreciated their quality and sound. When production stopped in 1982, the price of an original Hagstrom model quickly sky-rocketed. Fortunately, production started again in 2005, so the dream of owning your very own Hagstrom is once again within reach!
