General
A rather unique hollowbody in the Höfner range, the Verythin CT Special semi-acoustic guitar beautifully blends modern playing comfort with that classic '60s retro vibe. Looking at it from the front, the deluxe contours of the famed double-cut body shape and the period-correct Batwing sound holes are even more striking and match the vintage-form of the Dagger-inlaid headstock. Look at it from the side and see Höfner's perspective on 'modern' playability, which feels even better than it looks.
The Verythin CT Special: Unique, Special and Thin
Despite its extremely slim build, this Höfner Contemporary model features a soundboard and back made of arched flamed alder. Add that to the extra-flat, set-in alder Slendaneck and you've got a uniquely-shaped semi-acoustic guitar that's exceptionally comfortable to play if you're already used to the feel of an electric solid-body. The two Vintage Voice humbuckers combine with a 3-way pickup switch for a more than fair stack of sounds that can be tweaked using two volume pots and a single tone pot. At the same time, the welcome addition of a spruce centre-block brings enhanced depth and sustain while countering unwanted feedback.
