Not only that, Eastman's guitar tops are reinforced in a special way that improves the instrument's resonance.
Solid sapele
A guitar with a body made of solid wood has better resonance and produces more volume than one with a laminated body. The AC-DR2's solid body is made of sapele, a wood type that produces a warm sound similar to that of mahogany, but with more defined trebles. The mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard adds warm overtones to the mix resulting in a well-balanced and pleasantly warm sound overall.
