General
The AVD60 is an acoustic guitar from Ibanez' Artwood Vintage Thermo Aged series. It has a solid mahogany back and sides with a Thermo Aged solid AA Adirondack spruce top. The spruce X bracing has been Thermo Aged too and this process dries out the wood giving the instrument more volume and an enhanced frequency range. This means you get a brand new guitar that sounds just like a vintage model and you can enjoy its great tone no matter whether you play it with your fingers or a plectrum.
AVD60: other features
The AVD60's mahogany neck has a smooth satin-gloss finish and a comfortable soft V profile. For optimal transference of the string vibrations to the body, the bridge saddle and string nut are both made of unbleached bone that's been impregnated with oil. Helping to keep the tuning in check are Grover Chrome Open Gear machine heads with butterbean pegs and even the bridge pins on this guitar are special. The Ibanez Advantage bridge pins are not only more secure, they're easier to put in and take out as well.
