The Washburn HD80 is the first Heritage Series model to earn the title, 'Elite'. This stunning acoustic guitar has been finished with thoughtful and refined details, from the solid spruce top and striped ebony back and matching sides, to other more subtle details, like the quarter-sawn internal X-bracing of the resonance chamber. This configuration consistently carries the vibrations of the strings across the top panel of the resonance chamber for a full and balanced tone. In terms of aesthetics, the body has also been finished with abalone binding, a faux tortoiseshell scratchplate, and the stylish and traditional Washburn Heritage design of the sound hole rosette.

The Elite HD80: Trusted Feel

Washburn have coated the HD80 in a high-gloss lacquer, giving the wood grain room to shine, while the back of the okoume neck has been coated in a layer of satin-gloss for a beautifully supple playing feel. The fretboard has been made from laurel - a more sustainable and accurate alternative to traditional rosewood - that provides as close-as-it-gets sound and feel. The Washburn Heritage Elite HD80 has as much visual presence as it does tonal and is able to shape masses of volume, and like much of the Heritage Series, has been made for the modern versatile guitarist with traditional leanings.
