This mini interface provides two inputs: one XLR microphone input complete with phantom power and one 6.3mm jack input for guitars or line-level instruments and audio sources, and since this is an extra-high-impedance input, you're always assured of optimal sound. Simply hook the UR12 up to your computer via USB and it's both connected and powered, without the need to use an external power supply. The stereo line-out and the separate headphone output are both backed up by a latency-free direct-monitor function to ensure problem-free overdubbing, and so you can start work straight out of the box, Steinberg has even thrown in a copy of Cubase LE.
