Service or retail installations, karaoke systems, or even just a pro-grade home audio set-up: the Omnitronic EM-260B mixer can take up to six audio sources, provides each with volume and mixing controls and comes housed in a neat 1U, 19-inch unit.

Connecting Up & Controlling the EM-260B

Three mic/line inputs have been fitted alongside three line inputs, all of which can be mixed and sent out via a single stereo output. Plug in a couple of microphones and a laptop or CD player, and you already have yourself an announcement system and karaoke system in one.

The front control panel is loaded with a separate volume control and two-band equaliser controls per input, and an LED clip indicator has been included for monitoring the microphone inputs for signal peaks and distortion.

This mixer even offers an effect send and return, so that external effects like reverb or echo can be added to performances with ease and if required, any connected microphone can be fed 12V of phantom power that can be toggled on or off via a dip switch.
