A good, authentic sound is very important for most musical numbers. The warm sound of a tube microphone cannot be compared with anything else, but it is familiar to most people. It is very hard to reproduce this sound using software, so you should probably get your hands on the real thing. This might be a vintage microphone, but it contains some state-of-the-art engineering!

AKG have been able to combine the reliability of modern times with the sound of the old days! To make sure that the microphone can always operate under the best circumstances, a special external power adapter is included, which always provides the diaphragm in the C12VR with a suitable voltage. This adapter also serves as a sort of remote control that allows you to select the different pickup patterns. You can choose from cardioid, omnidirectional, figure-eight and six intermediate positions.

The above-mentioned warm sound is produced by a tube amplifier in the C12VR that has been newly constructed, but retains the original characteristics of the model. Enjoy the sound of the past now!
