Lewitt LCT 550 micrófono de condensador de membrana grande
General
The Austrian-made LCT 550 doesn't only set a new standard in self-noise levels. When we look at its dynamic range, for example, it adds up to 140 dB (A), delivering the best possible performance, even under the most challenging circumstances. During manufacturing, tolerance levels are kept to a minimum thanks to meticulously calibrated capsules and electronics, which means that every two mics from the same series automatically form a matched pair.
LCT 550 large-diaphragm tube condenser microphone
The three pre-attenuation levels (0 dB, -6 dB and -12 dB) make it possible for the LCT 550 to reach an SPL of 155 dB (A). Furthermore, the microphone offers a so-called 'clipping history' as well as an automatic attenuation mode that switches to a different attenuation level if the signal is too strong. Two high-pass filters of 12 dB/octave at 80 Hz, and 6 dB/octave at 160 Hz are responsible for eliminating structural noise. The electronic circuitry in Lewitt's LCT 550 has a self-noise level of 3dB-A, making it the only mic on the market today that is capable of such an impressive feat.
