General
The BLX series by Shure consist of various wireless transmitters and receivers, designed as an affordable, professional sounding wireless solution for singing, speech and music. In this wireless set you will find a BLX2 transmitter with a SM58 microphone head and a very compact BLX4 receiver. The set communicates via the UHF frequency and is very easy to set up. The models are light but very durable and ideal for musicians and technicians that often change location.
Shure BLX-2 handheld transmitter with SM 58 microphone capsule
The SM58 needs no further explanation, you can find it anywhere! It always works, reproduces speech and singing well and is insensitive to feedback. The Shure SM58 capsule is attached to a BLX2 UHF handheld transmitter with a maximum range of 90 metres. The BLX2 has a lightweight housing but is very durable. Two AA batteries guarantee a maximum of 14 hours of singing and speech. We have yet to witness a gig this long!
Shure BLX-4 receiver
The Shure BLX2 transmitter communicates with the BLX4 wireless receiver out of this set. The receiver is very compact and equipped with powerful internal antennas, so that you won't have to endlessly rotate and adjust antennas in the hope that reception improves. Thanks to the Shure QuickScan function a good connection is automatically made with the handheld transmitter and a signal can also be found quite quickly in 'busier' environments,. Via an XLR or 6.35mm jack output, the audio can be transferred to the PA mixer.
