The MX392 and MX393 boundary microphones are Shure unarguably belong in the 'smart microphones' category. Loaded with tons of features such as silent on/off switches for the diaphragm and LED indicators and a built-in preamp, the MX393C is prepared for immediate use in a wide range of applications including court rooms and conferences. Easy to use yet remarkably flexible, this microphone only has a single switch to toggle one of three modes: Push to talk, Push to mute and Push-on/Push-off.

Both the MX392 and the MX393 come in cardioid, super-cardioid and omnidirectional versions to give you a solution that best caters to your needs. In those include as little feedback as possible, the best choice would be to go for a cardioid or super-cardioid model. If you don't want to miss a thing, the omnidirectional is the way to go. Either way, the cartridges are interchangeable and available separately, so you can always decide to expand the possibilities in the future.
