General

The Electro voice TX 1122 FM is a compact passive floor monitor that was made for use on small to medium-sized stages. Its vertical design means that the tweeter is placed above the woofer, making the monitor deeper than it is wide. The tweeter and the woofer are mounted on separate baffles, and are therefore closer to one another than normal, resulting in a linear phase response. The room between the baffles forms the bass reflex port.

Sound

The TX 1122 FM has a flat frequency response that is great for use with microphones, and it produces a tight bass that's thicker than it is deep, without becoming boomy. The mid-range is clear and accurate, which is perfect for vocals, and the trebles of the TX 1122 FM provide plenty of sparkle and detail that's excellent for acoustic guitars, for instance. This floor monitor is very stable at high volumes, and the flat response aids in minimising feedback.

Compact monitor

The solid cabinet of the TX 1122 is fabricated from a combination of plywood and MDF. This ensure the sturdiness of the device and keeps the weight light. Furthermore, the unique Electro Voice coating protects the monitor from scratches and is water-resistant. The connections for the SpeakOn cables can be found on a sunken connection panel that has been designed to keep the connection points discrete and out of the way of the artist. With the help of unique adjustable handles, the TX 1122 FM is easy to move and transport.
