Roland GR-D V-Guitar Distortion pedal de efectos
General
The Roland GR-D may look like a compact guitar pedal at first glance, but looks can be deceiving: it is equipped with the same powerful V-Guitar GK processing technology that can also be found in the Roland GR-55 guitar synthesizer. This technology is capable of treating the sound of each individual string of your guitar separately, creating high-grade, intense sound effects. You can achieve this by using the Roland GK-3 Divided Pickup or a GK-ready guitar. The GK-3 Divided Pickup can be connected to the special 13-pin connector of the GR-D, opening up a world of (synthesizer) effects.
Roland GR-D V-Guitar Distortion: diverse sound options
As the sound of each string is isolated and sent to the GR-D as a separate signal, this technology allows for much more complex sound editing than a single jack cable possibly could. Thanks to modern technology, the various distortions of the GR-D are of an excellent quality. VG-DIST 1 and VG-DIST 2 are two conventional distortion 'flavours', creating high-grade shredding effects. The POLY DIST brings to mind the classic Roland poly distortion that was used in early guitar synthesizers. The SYNTH function offers a synthetic tone with the characteristics of analogue synthesizers. The timbre is freely adjustable and the GR-D reproduces the natural nuances of your guitar playing in each mode.
Compact link
Like conventional guitar foot pedals, the GR-D is fitted with a number of knobs that allow you to adjust the basic settings. The responsive Gain, Color, Tone and Level knobs enable you to efficiently create the sound you desire. Four memory slots allow you to store your favourite settings. The Solo function, which can be switched on and off by one of the pedals, gives your sound a boost in volume and presence: a reassuring asset for your lead parts. Other sound sources can be connected via the stereo input and mixed with the GK signal. The guitar output (jack) can be connected to an amplifier, and it is also possible to set up an FX loop via the inputs and outputs. The GR-D may be small in size, but is a great asset for your guitar sound.
