The Amptweaker Bass TightFuzz is home to that familiar-feeling vintage fuzz that you can only get from Silicon and Germanium transistors. This bass-focussed version of the TightFuzz offers maximum sound control. The Tight pot shapes the attack, a Tone switch flips the output from low-and-sweet '60s gain to full-fat '70s gain, and the Smooth switch knocks any of the sharper edges off the overall tone. Amptweaker have also been kind enough to design this stompbox to operate on either a 9V or 18V power supply, where a 9V supply results in thick overdrive, and an 18V supply gives you more headroom. Among other endlessly useful functions, this pedal also comes fitted with its own effects loop, allowing you to add further effects both before and after the overdrive. Thought has also been spared for the impedance so that this fuzz box can be placed anywhere in your effects chain without fear of any problems with the signal getting over-saturated or a less-than-clean sound when turning your bass volume down.
